Well, I’m getting ready to hop on a plane and head out to the west coast. I know you will miss me terribly, but you’ll just have to get along by yourselves. Seriously…you’ll be ok. Stop whimpering.

Check out this article from FirstShowing.net about a video game designer who is trying his hand at film-making. This gentleman is the genius behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which has become the highest grossing game of all time (so far). The film he is working on is one he wrote called Frost Road. Per the article, the movie synopsis is as such:
Frost Road is the story of a young man who awakens from a car accident to discover he is one of few survivors in the aftermath of a mysterious outbreak that’s struck a small East coast town. The main character, who is somehow immune to the contagion, tries to save the remaining survivors as he struggles to prevent the “deadly wave” from spreading across the planet.
Sounds intriguing…I’ll probably check it out.
SciFi Squad reports that Eli Roth (creator of Cabin Fever and the Hostel films) has an alien invasion flick and a Cloverfield-type disaster movie on the horizon. Check out the article here.
Have you heard about SyFy Channel’s version of Alice in Wonderland, titled simply Alice? Apparently, it’s an update to the story, giving it a modern-day twist (such as Wonderlandish cyborgs and flying cars). SciFi Wire has the article here. Interested? I think I am.
Also in TV news: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will be a TV mini-series. Yahoo! There’s no info as to when it will hit the small screen, but I’m stoked about this nonetheless!
